Week 2 Progress Update

13 October 2023, by Asep Slamet

In the second week of our research on "Leveraging Blockchain Technology for Resolving Everyday Mundane Issues: A Practical Approach," our team continued to make significant strides towards developing a comprehensive and insightful paper. Here are the key accomplishments of this week:

  1. Case Study Selection: We finalized the selection of case studies that demonstrate how blockchain technology has been successfully applied to address mundane problems in different sectors. These case studies range from supply chain optimization to identity verification, healthcare data management, and secure voting systems.

  2. Data Analysis: We began the in-depth analysis of the selected case studies, focusing on understanding the challenges these projects aimed to solve, the strategies employed, and the outcomes achieved. This analysis will serve as the foundation for the empirical evidence supporting our research.

  3. Methodology Refinement: Our team refined the research methodology to ensure that the data collection, analysis, and presentation of results align with the research questions and objectives. We adopted a systematic approach to evaluate the impact of blockchain technology in each case study.

  4. Regulatory Landscape Exploration: We expanded our exploration of the regulatory landscape surrounding blockchain technology. This involves researching existing and potential regulations governing blockchain use and how they may impact the adoption and implementation of blockchain solutions for everyday issues.

  5. Drafting the Paper: We began drafting the initial sections of the research paper. This includes the introduction, literature review, and the framework for evaluating the case studies. The draft will serve as the basis for the structure and content of the final paper.

  6. Next Steps: As we move forward, our focus will shift to the detailed analysis of each case study, extracting key findings, and comparing them to the framework we established. We will also work on the discussion section, where we will provide insights on the broader implications of blockchain in solving mundane problems and address the challenges and limitations we identified in the first week.

Our research is progressing smoothly, and we are on track to deliver a well-researched and insightful paper that explores the practical applications of blockchain technology in resolving everyday issues. We remain dedicated to providing valuable insights and recommendations for both academia and industry stakeholders, showing how blockchain can make a meaningful impact in addressing mundane but significant problems across various domains.
